Open positons! My new lab at the Cleveland Clinic is hiring at all levels. Please click here for more information on available positions.
Career update! As of February 2023, I have joined Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, as a faculty member within the Cardiovascular Innovation Research Center, where I also serve as Director of Biomechanics. My lab will focus on combining 3D printing, soft robotics, and biosensing tools to build advanced physical and digital biomechanical models of disease. I will soon have open positions for postdocs and graduate students. If you're interested in working with me on any of the above areas, please reach out!
Before moving back to the US, I had a short stint as a Senior Scientist at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in the Department of Health Sciences and Technology.
I received my postdoctoral training from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where I worked in the lab of Prof. Ellen Roche at the Institute for Medical Engineering and Science (IMES), on the development of a variety of soft robotic implantable devices.
Prior to this, I earned my Ph.D. at the School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University, where I worked at the FlexiLab under the supervision of Prof. Ramses Martinez. During this time, I completed projects on Soft Robotics, Flexible Electronics, 3D Printing, Biomedical Devices, Metamaterials, and Scalable Nanofabrication.
Before coming to Purdue, I received my Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering from Jadavpur University, India. There, I was advised by Prof. Shankar Chakraborty. I also spent a year as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Bremen, Germany, where I worked at the Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics (BIBA) with Dr. Torsten Hildebrandt.
