Postdoctoral Fellows / Staff Scientists with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, for projects in Cardiovascular Biomechanics. Prior experience in one or more of the following is especially welcome:
Computational modeling of soft, nonlinear materials (FEA of solids, fluids)
Computer vision/ML applied to medical imaging datasets (CT, MRI, etc.)
Continuous biosignal monitoring using wearables
3D printing of soft materials
Summer Research Interns.
We are always looking for strong candidates at all levels in the following main research themes: Biomechanics, Soft Robotics, Wearable Biosensors, and 3D Printing. You will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with world leading cardiologists and contribute to real-world clinical impact.
Contact Dr. Goswami with your CV as follows:
Postdocs: Please write a short statement summarizing your PhD research work and major skillsets. We are able to make appointments at Staff Scientist level for exceptional candidates.
PhD students: We are able to hire through the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Biomedical Engineering departments at Case Western Reserve University. Please apply to the department that best fits you and email Dr. Goswami.
MS students: If you are already an admitted student at Case and interested in conducting research in our lab for a semester or more, please email Dr. Goswami.
Undergraduate students: We have research opportunities throughout the year; however, coursework requirements mean than students are usually most productive during the summer. If you're a student at Case or Cleveland State, please reach out directly to Dr. Goswami to discuss logistics.
Visitors: We welcome visitors at all levels - faculty, staff scientists, postdoc, PhD student, and undergrad. Please indicate in your email your proposed duration of stay and source of own funding, if applicable.
